Default Why is everyone so stupid in this game?

Seriously, most games have a decent player base. Every game has it's noobs, but this game seems to be made of 60% trash. GW in itself is a great game, but I'm really get tired of the players. This costume brawl is the perfect example of stupidity. Sins that just death charge into 4 guys, people who don't understand the roles of characters it's just so tiring. I don't find singleplayer games fun but it's really the only option when people can be in TA showing there Healing Hands warrior build and screaming that you are a noob because they got a whole 10 wins in RA and now they are pro.

I don't even see why this game is so hard to grasp. Sure we may not be super pro, but this game pretty much gives you everything you need. Weapons and Armor are only really there for looks, skillbars can be obtained from pvx or a friend, people can call targets for you to make it easier for you in case you get confused. This game is easy to grasp and yet it has the hugest failplayer base I've seen. RAWR.

Edit: Quoting spelling mistakes is epic fun for all forum members : D

Free play. Too many immature kids, people who are casual players and don't have a lot of time to learn, or people who are just plain ignorant and not open minded.

ur going to get bad teams, thats how it is. its random (for the most part). just keep going, ull get good ones as well.
its lame when u lose a few times in a row, but when u get goin on a 10-20+ win streak, its great. just be patient and dont get angry at it.
the point of cbrawls is to have fun.

MY favorite costume brawl to date was the one I did today. Had a group with a couple game win streak. On the next game, we got behind 5-1 due to not playing as a team. One guy resigns. One guy leaves. We keep playing, the score keeps going. Eventually they're winning by a lot, game is almost over. I'm still playing/capping. The other guys are standing at the shrine (imho we still could have won had they kept playing when it was 5-1) They're bitching at me to resign. then they start reporting me as a leecher, which was funny because I was the only one not actually leeching. :/ And we could have won if they hadn't given up when we were a couple points behind. Nothing to do but keep playing and hope you don't get a loser group like that.

I just encountered a nuker in ZE who had a pure trap build, as in, all traps. I asked him to just run an AP or AI nuker and he said "I don't really nuke, sorry".

Yeah I understand I'm not going to have a perfect team 10/10 times. I'm not even talking bout just costume brawl. It's this entire game. Costume brawl is a perfect example though, even with the builds given people are trying to foul feast hexes and just plain old hitting through empathy and incidious until they die. No other game has so many god damn noobs and I don't know why. I help as many people as I can but I'm getting awful tired of no one ever thinking for themselves.

Believe it or not, there are people in this game that play stupid builds on purpose just to piss people like you off. They get a kick out of it especially when you make a rant about on guru.

Believe it or not, I realize there are smart people that play stupid builds for the lols of pissing of nabs. TBH this wasnt' really made in the hopes that everyone would read this and become better. This is just me tired. I haven't actually played Guild Wars for a few hours, I'm merely just commenting on the fail that is the community.

Also at QQ guy, Instead of giving the most generic reply there is on this forum why not give me a reason to help people anymore. You can give away all the free items you want, teach all the farm spots and how to run it and at the end of the day they will still not understand that Mending is terrible on a warrior.

You can just leave it be. It's up to you what you do with it, if you want to get frustrated by it.. you will.

When it comes to any form of coordinated teamwork, you're going to get your fair share of retards. For example (provided that you're good), join any pub game in CS and you'll find that 2/3 of the players are just easy kills, and most of the rest aren't too good either. Certain games (like D2) get away with this by making the enemy difficulty scaling much less than what a new idiot could contribute to make you think that this new terrible player is actually "contributing" to the team.

If you don't like helping then just don't. I only help when people asks fully for it and I'm in the mood.

You help because you want to, and it should be like that. You don't need a reason but merely your own motivation. If the guy doesn't gets it then stop wasting your time and move onto somebody else. If in the end nobody wants to learn anything and you still feel angry then shoot yourself or something...

90% of the time I lack the motivation so I proceed to laugh at noobs.

Cheers for an actual reply
Sigh I agree with this but to me CS is incredibly hard, and getting decent at it took me months and months. GW was pretty much hop in and get a build and away you go. I don't see where the fail is coming from. Everyone screams noob when a sin teles into a crowd and dies but instead of just fixing there mistake it becomes an argument on how amazing Shadow Refuge is and how bad the monks are at healing him. It's always someone elses fault, no one actually wants to learn.

Because video games will rot your brain. It's true.

Honestly, RA is filled with idiots, and some get to TA through luck.

Imo, RA on the Battle Isles was meant to keep the morons and newbs out of HA. TA is just to keep those who get lucky out of HA. But even with TA, some can get lucky... It's sad really.

Costume Brawl is one of three must go arenas for moronic PvEers. Just be glad that the builds put in there are Healing Hands Warriors and full smiting monks. Or Perma-SF Assassins...

Also,

Guild Wars's open skill system is also its downfall.

It's like Magic: the Gathering. Bad players make bad decks. Good players make good decks.

(That's why net decking is so awesome.)

We generally don't tolerate ranting threads since they generally fill up with nonsense quickly. This thread stays true to the trend.
